I like analytical chemistry because it's helped me to learn to enjoy and become more familiar with laboratory work.

I chose UMBC because of the many research opportunities, which would help me in my future career in the chemical field.

Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it! Make sure to take advantage of all of the academic resources there are.
