How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC has helped me become more confident, independent, and willing to step outside my comfort zone. I've learned to advocate for myself, build connections, explore different interests, and take on leadership opportunities. Most importantly, I've realized that I don't need to know everything to contribute meaningfully to a community.

What makes UMBC home?

What makes UMBC feel like home is the people and the sense of community. Coming to UMBC as a transfer student from India, I was initially navigating a completely new environment. However, the welcoming community, supportive professors, and opportunities to get involved helped me find my place and feel like I belong.

Favorite Local Shop or Restaurant

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

One of my most memorable experiences has been getting involved with the UMBC community through volunteering at hackUMBC, participating in Cyber 101, and connecting with students through CWIT. Each experience has introduced me to new people, perspectives, and opportunities that have made my college journey meaningful.
