During my first semester, I wish I would have known...

everyone is just as confused and afraid. I wished I'd known that it was okay to ask lots of questions, because usually everyone else around me was just as confused as me

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

last year when I attended one of the cultural events with my friends. It was really fun to dress up in fancy, colorful clothes and dance the whole night. As weird as it sounds, one of the most memorable parts of that night was when my friends and I limped back to our rooms on campus because our feet were so sore from wearing heels all night.

Favorite Spot on Campus

The library steps. When the weather is nice my friends and I bring out picnic blankets and portable hammocks and enjoy ourselves.

How has UMBC helped you grow?

I got the opportunity to really step out of my comfort zone and try lots of new activities to develop my interests. Now I am much better at connecting with people and making decisions for myself.
