My advice to prospective students would be to not let the fact that UMBC is mostly a commuter school make you feel like there's nothing to do on campus.

How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC helped me grow by pushing me out of my comfort zone and teaching me to not wait for opportunity but to go out and find it.
