UMBC helped me grow by pushing me out of my comfort zone and teaching me to not wait for opportunity but to go out and find it.

I chose UMBC because I wanted a school that was both affordable and offered a lot of career opportunities.
My advice to prospective students...
My advice to prospective students would be to not let the fact that UMBC is mostly a commuter school make you feel like there's nothing to do on campus.
