Fun Fact
I want to study sharks and they're one of my favorite animals, but if I could be any animal then I'd be an otter!
I chose UMBC because...
of our strong reputation as a STEM and research university. When I was looking for schools, I knew I wanted to either do research or become a doctor and a school with a reputation like UMBC's was a natural choice. Also, I'm a middle child and my parents liked the cost after in-state tuition since they have two other out of state tuitions to pay.
My most memorable UMBC experience was...
the Alumni Awards event which takes place during Homecoming. It's only open to students who have received certain scholarships or are involved with the Student Alumni Association (SAA). One of the recipients was the Surgeon General, Jerome Adams and after the ceremony I got to talk with him, meet his daughter, and take a selfie!
What makes UMBC home?
The people. Everyone is so genuine, helpful, and wants to see you happy and successful.
