My advice to prospective students...

is to try new things!! You don't really know if you'll like something until you experience it. Plus it's better to take the risk and maybe find a new passion or meet new friends.

The people. Everyone is so genuine, helpful, and wants to see you happy and successful.

I want to study sharks and they're one of my favorite animals, but if I could be any animal then I'd be an otter!

How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC has given me the support I needed to recognize my potential and to pursue my dreams with confidence. I've come to realize that what I've wanted to achieve is within reason and that I have the motivation and resources necessary to my success. The sky really is the limit!!
