My advice to prospective students...

is to try new things!! You don't really know if you'll like something until you experience it. Plus it's better to take the risk and maybe find a new passion or meet new friends.

During my first semester, I wish I would have known...

how to use my time and resources better. I lacked a sense of balance to match my sense of purpose and I think I could have been a little more successful, but each semester I get better at it!

My UMBC hack is...

talk to people! The more connections you make the better your UMBC experience will be, from making new friends and memories to getting useful opportunities along your career path!

How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC has given me the support I needed to recognize my potential and to pursue my dreams with confidence. I've come to realize that what I've wanted to achieve is within reason and that I have the motivation and resources necessary to my success. The sky really is the limit!!
