My advice to prospective students...

is to have initiative to take the first step to interact with fellow Retrievers, professors or staff!

During my first semester, I wish I would have known...

that Google Calendar exists! It has helped me manage my time better and be more involved in campus activities.

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

being a Peer Facilitator for the Transfer Student Seminar. I took that class my first semester here and it made me more aware of all the resources UMBC had to offer. By taking on an "instructor" role for the same class, I was able to relay the knowledge to new students so they can get better acclimated to our campus community.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

Dr. Maricell Kann. She is my academic advisor and she helped my throughout my time at UMBC. She always found time to chat with me even when I forgot to make an appointment and gave me helpful advice regarding my academics and career.

I'm passionate about...
