During my first semester, I wish I would have known...

that there is more to college than just studying and I should allow myself to find opportunities. I used to stay in my room a lot either doing homework or watching Netflix. I wish I had known sooner that I would find my place on campus.

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

STRiVE, which is a leadership retreat that people can go to during winter break. It was so great to meet new people who have different views about life than me. I was able to make new friends and allow myself to be vulnerable in able to learn more about myself. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Fun Fact

I LOVE all things Disney! I’ve been to Disney World, on a Disney Cruise, and I’ve watched almost every single Disney animated film and Disney Channel movie. My favorites are The Lion King and Tangled!

My advice to prospective students...

is it's okay to not know exactly what you want to do in the beginning! That's what college is for! You don't have to come in with a strict plan because it can change based on how you change and grow! Also, don't be afraid to explore any and all interests that you have because college is the perfect time to do so!
