My most memorable UMBC experience was...
participating in Alternative Spring Break with the Center for Democracy and Civic Life. Service has always been important to me but this program taught me how service could intersect with research and that revelation changed my career trajectory.
My advice to prospective students...
is the special thing about UMBC is the ability to create the environment that you are living and studying in. That fact is empowering and sustains you during your time here.
I chose UMBC because...
because it had so many connections to Baltimore and resources for professional and personal development.
My UMBC hack is...
to honor the time and contributions of others.
