I knew UMBC had a good science program, and going into that field I thought I'd be able to learn a lot, but I also like seeing all the concerts and shows the art department puts on on campus too.

how easy it is to talk to professors. My first semester is the only semester that I didn't talk to at least one of my professors on a regular basis

My advice to prospective students...

is don't be afraid to talk to professors. I have reached out to several different professors whether it was for class or potential career options.

The outdoor patio near the Chemistry Building. It's a quiet place and I spent a lot of time there the summer after my sophomore year.
