How has UMBC helped you grow?

Being independent in college has really helped me grow into becoming my own person. The independence of becoming more responsible for myself makes me feel like I can stand on my own two-feet easier.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

My favorite class (so far!) has been Intro. to Animation with professor Corrie Parks. This was my first major class and I enjoyed it immensely and had a wonderful professor who made the experience even better!

During my first semester, I wish I would have known...

Don't be afraid to get involved! Whether that's by talking to other people in your class, talking to your professor, joining clubs, and even meeting strangers. Getting to know my peers has made my college experience a lot more enjoyable.

My parents own a sushi restaurant in Baltimore City. I did some graphic design work for them too!
