My most memorable UMBC experience was...
Joining the fencing team! I've made a lot of close friends through it and it has helped me be more involved with both the school and meeting my peers.
I chose UMBC because...
The Linehan program and the opportunities it provided piqued my interest. It also really helped my tuition cost, which made UMBC my final choice. I also have interest in studying outside of my animation major, and UMBC could provide classes outside of art that I could take.
How has UMBC helped you grow?
Being independent in college has really helped me grow into becoming my own person. The independence of becoming more responsible for myself makes me feel like I can stand on my own two-feet easier.
During my first semester, I wish I would have known...
Don't be afraid to get involved! Whether that's by talking to other people in your class, talking to your professor, joining clubs, and even meeting strangers. Getting to know my peers has made my college experience a lot more enjoyable.
