Favorite Local Shop or Restaurant

OCA Mocha is my favorite restaurant off campus. I like the community opportunities and events they host.

My advice to prospective students...

I would advise new students to be open to trying new things, but don't take on too much! It can be very tempting to say yes to every activity or event that comes your way, but your first priority should be taking care of yourself.

I chose UMBC because...

Many of my dance instructors growing up had attended UMBC, and I felt very at home in their program. The Linehan Artist Scholars Program has provided me with so many cool opportunities across all arts disciplines. UMBC is also a very conveniently sized and positioned campus. The entire campus is walkable, and is located fairly close to the Baltimore Inner Harbor and Washington DC.

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

One of my most memorable experiences here was getting to meet and perform for Misty Copeland! It was such a special and rare opportunity and I will always be grateful for it!
