If you are looking for a niche place to study in the mornings, I would suggest going to the College of Engineering and Information Technology and using the whiteboard in the open study space.
A memorable UMBC experience of mine is going to the Open Mic Night hosted by the Student Events Board.
A piece of advice that I'd have for prospective students is to talk to others! Reach out to your classmates and start conversations at social events.
Don't be surprised when I say that I spend most of my time at the Retriever Activity Center. It helps me burn time and progresses me along my gym journey.
