My favorite professor that I've had at UMBC is John Borrero in the Psychology Department. He's incredibly personable, friendly, and his lectures are always engaging. He always made an effort to strike up conversation and get to know you as a student, which I greatly appreciated in my first year on campus.
UMBC fosters a diverse community that strives for inclusive excellence, making it a home that uplifts people, curates kinship, and places acceptance at the forefront of its education system.
My favorite spot on campus is the green area by the pond next to the Library, it's a beautiful spot to people watch, see the foliage, and take a relaxing break when needed.
To find your secret study spots early on in the semester! It is much easier than scavenging for a spot in the Library during finals week!
