I liked the tight-knit community, and it allowed me to stay close to home.

My advice to prospective students...

is the sense of community on campus is the most important factor in choosing a college. I have felt like a part of UMBC's community since my first campus visit, and I absolutely love it.

How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC has helped push me ot of my comfort zone in many ways. I attended a week-long leadership retreat my freshman year, and it did wonders for my confidence.

Favorite Local Shop or Restaurant

I love the Ice Cream Cottage in Arbutus. They make the best milkshakes!
