My advice to prospective students...

is when looking at schools, think about places that will allow YOU to shine and be involved. Where will you be able to stand out and pursue your interests, not just fit in as part of the crowd? UMBC's small class size and engaged campus have allowed me to make connections with my professors, volunteer in surrounding communities and take on internships nearly every semester.

What makes UMBC home?

UMBC's community is one where it is "cool" to be smart. I feel super comfortable around this type of crowd and enjoy the fact that people here are motivated about succeeding in the classroom and beyond.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

GES 328: Environmental Policy with Dr. Lansing. It's a great introduction to domestic environmental issues/potential solutions.

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

Midnight Breakfast & Bingo! Students pack into the University Center Ballroom for pancakes, eggs, bacon, and prizes. Everyone is a winner with free breakfast!

I'm passionate about...

Environmental Policy Science Communications
