Major: Graphic Design
Concentration: Visual Arts
The night of the Homecoming bonfire. All my friends came (even my friends who live off campus). It was great to have everyone in one place doing something together.
Visual Concepts I with Symmes Gardner or Drawing I with Lyle Kissack. If yo, you're not an art major but you need the credit, I would definitely recommend these classes and these professors. As an entry-level course, you'll review the basics, but the professors are really more concerned about your progress than your grades. There's lots of work time in these studios and a variety of fun projects, so just pop in your earbuds and get to work.
The Retriever Learning Center (RLC)! You can usually find me in the RLC. I like a little background chatter while I'm working, so I prefer it to the quieter floors of the library. It's a nice place to gather with your friends and work, there's coffee nearby, it's open 24 hours, and close to the Commons.
Keep a digital schedule. You can have it in addition to a physical calendar, but I find a digital schedule is more flexible. If you're in class and your professor changes assignments, you can easily swap things around and plan for your week ahead.
