My UMBC hack is...

utilizing the sky bridges on campus when it's really cold, hot, or especially when it's raining. They connect a lot of the buildings on the main level of Academic Row and provide an easy way to stay out of the elements when walking to and from class.

My most memorable UMBC experience was...

being in my apartment, with my roommates, watching the UMBC vs. UVA basketball game, and then seeing the campus erupting into cheer after the win.

How has UMBC helped you grow?

It's definitely broken me out of my introverted shell but in a comfortable way. I've been able to partake in some great opportunities, such as being a Resident Assistant and being in the Cyber Dawgs club. It's enabled me to sharpen my skills in my field and meet a lot of people along the way.

My advice to prospective students...

is use your passions and interests to discover different clubs, organizations, groups, jobs, and so on. This will allow you to meet new people, find study partners/groups, and open the door to future opportunities.
