My UMBC hack is...

in the library, there's an Einstein Bagels which is open every day of the week and weekend. If you're a morning person, you can use your meal plan to get a bagel and coffee and then study at the nearby tables.

there are a lot of resources on campus meant to help students succeed. The writing center, tutoring center, and peer study groups all help students to succeed, and I wish I had used these resources in my first semester.

My advice to prospective students...

is college can be a lot of fun but has a lot of distractions so it's important to balance the fun stuff with the work you need to do for your classes.

I chose UMBC because...

UMBC is a perfect size and has a real sense of community in that the people at UMBC are fun, friendly, and driven to succeed.
