How has UMBC helped you grow?

UMBC has helped me grow by forcing me to become more independent when it comes not just to school but meals especially.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

My favorite class is abnormal psychology, despite it only being once a week so the class is longer, because it is very interesting to combine both the biological and psychological aspects of mental disorders.

My advice to prospective students...

Just breathe and remember you can always call home and find help even on campus if everything gets too overwhelming

It is an R-1 school, meaning it is one of the top schools in the country (among Ivy League schools) for research and science overall.
