I appreciated the atmosphere. UMBC is definitely a school that prides itself on academic excellence and pushing students to reach their fullest potential while also exploring new passions, which is what I wanted out of higher education.

How has UMBC helped you grow?

At UMBC, I have taken on new academic interests that I never would have considered before, such as intercultural communication and sociology.

Favorite Class or Professor and Why

Humanities Seminar with Dr. Timothy Phin. It was a great introduction to the Humanities Scholars program and I made friends with most of the students in my class!

Favorite Spot on Campus

The Herbert Run Greenway nature trail. It's a beautiful trail for hiking and relaxing in nature!
