I appreciated the atmosphere. UMBC is definitely a school that prides itself on academic excellence and pushing students to reach their fullest potential while also exploring new passions, which is what I wanted out of higher education.

My advice to prospective students...

Apply to a living learning community! It will help you make friends with the people that live on your floor.
